Frequently Asked Questions
What coffee machine should I buy?
To know which coffee machine to get, you must first ask yourself this key question: Between convenience and quality, which is more important to me? While there are coffee machines that provide you with both, knowing your priority will help you make the right purchase in the end.
Consider your budget and how much effort you want to put into making coffee. Each type of machine has its own strengths, so think about what fits your lifestyle best.
I want to get a manual coffee machine but I'm not sure which to get?
With so many innovations being developed and created for manual coffee machines, there are increasingly more types to choose from. But to keep things simple, there are generally three types of manual coffee machines.
The entry-level type is the single-boiler coffee machine, which provides higher quality coffee than an automatic machine but is relatively more affordable. It's ideal for those who drink black coffee, as it can't brew coffee and steam milk simultaneously.
The most popular type is the heat exchanger coffee machine. It's considered more powerful and expensive than the single-boiler coffee machine. If you like making lattes and prefer greater control over the temperature, then a heat exchanger coffee machine is for you.
The advanced type is the dual boiler coffee machine, which provides even more precise temperature control than the heat exchanger coffee machine. For those who need reliable commercial performance for specialty coffee brewing, get a dual-boiler coffee machine.
How can I be sure I'm buying a genuine coffee machine?
We're a family business that really cares about our customers. We work with the main importers that bring coffee machines into the country. This means all our machines are the real deal. What warranty do you offer on your coffee machines?
When you buy a coffee machine from us, we take care of any repairs needed during the warranty time. We fix them quickly so you're not without your coffee for long. Our coffee machines and grinders come with either a 1-year or 2-year warranty. This means if something goes wrong during that time, we'll fix it for free.

I found a cheaper product on another website, do you price match?
Our goal is to offer the best prices along with great customer service. If you find the same product (same brand, size, and colour) cheaper from an Australian company that is an authorised stockist, we'll beat their price. This offer doesn't apply to overseas websites or auction sites, and you need to request the price match before buying the item. The competitor's price must include all taxes, delivery, and other fees, and the item must be in stock when we process your request.
Do I need a dual boiler or heat exchanger espresso machine?
Dual boiler machines offer superior temperature stability and are ideal for milk-based drinks. Heat exchanger machines are more affordable and still deliver strong steam performance.
Is it hard to use an Italian espresso machine?
Most Italian espresso machines take around 10 to 25 minutes to fully heat up, depending on the model and boiler size. Newer models can heat up faster, around 7 to 12 minutes. Contact us to discuss available models.
Do I need a separate grinder?
Yes. A quality burr grinder is essential for consistent espresso extraction and great results. The grinder is the most important factor for achieving consistency in your coffee.

Why Is No Water Coming Out of My Espresso Machine?
If your espresso machine is not dispensing water, the most common causes include an empty water tank, airlock in the pump, scale build-up, blocked group head, or a faulty pump.
Quick Troubleshooting Steps
- Refill and reseat the water tank
- Open the steam wand and run the pump
- Clean and backflush the group head
- Check for blocked water filters
- Descale the machine if needed
If the pump is noisy, silent, or water flow is still weak after cleaning, your coffee machine may require professional servicing or repair. Regular maintenance and filtered water help prevent most espresso machine water flow issues.
Why Is My Espresso Machine Tripping Power?
If your espresso machine is tripping the power, it's usually caused by an electrical fault such as a faulty heating element, water leak inside the machine, damaged wiring, or a failing pump.
Common Causes
- Faulty boiler or heating element
- Water leaking onto electrical parts
- Damaged power cord or switch
- Pump or internal short circuit
What to Do? Turn the machine off and unplug it immediately. If it keeps tripping, it likely needs professional espresso machine repair. Regular servicing helps prevent electrical faults and breakdowns.
Why Is My Espresso Machine Pump Noisy?
If your espresso machine pump is noisy, try these quick fixes:
- Refill and reseat the water tank
- Run water through the steam wand to clear air
- Remove or replace the water filter
- Descale the machine if overdue
If the noise continues, the pump may need servicing or replacement — bring it to us, we will be happy to have a look into your machine.
Why Is No Steam Coming Out of My Espresso Machine?
If your espresso machine has no steam, it's usually due to pressure not building or a blockage in the steam system.
- Wait for the machine to fully heat up
- Check steam knob is fully open
- Purge the steam wand for a few seconds
- Make sure there is enough water in the tank
- Remove and clean the steam tip (nozzle)
If there's still no steam, the machine may have a faulty pressure switch, heating element, or internal blockage and may need servicing.
