Descale De Longhi Coffee machines when “SCALE REQUIRED”
PRESS OK TO START
For descaling immediately, press “OK” and follow the instructions.
“EMPTY DRIP TRAY” Remove and empty the drip tray and the grounds container and put them back.
“WATER DISPOSAL” appears: remove the water container, pull out the water filter (if present) and empty the water tank.
Pour the descaler to level A in the tank, which corresponds to a container of 100 ml, then add water up to level B 1 liter.
Press “OK” to confirm that you added the descaling solution.
“DESCALING IN PROGRESS” appears in the display.
The descaling program starts and the descaling solution runs out of the hot water / steam nozzle and the coffee spouts.
There automatically a series of rinses is carried out at intervals in order to remove limescale deposits from the coffee machines.
Pay attention! Risk of burns.
Hot water flows out containing acids from the hot water / steam nozzle and the coffee spouts.
Avoid contact with this solution.
After about 25 minutes, stop the descaling process.
“FLUSH AND FILL UP max LEVEL” appears in the display.
The device can now be rinsed with fresh water.
Empty the bin to collect the descaling solution.
Remove the water tank, empty it and rinse it under running water, fill it up to the max level with fresh water and place it back into the machines.
OK ON PRESS TO FLUSH” appears in the display.
Put the tray to collect the descaling solution blank back under the coffee leak and the hot water / steam nozzle and press “OK”.
First, there is hot water from the coffee range areas, then from the hot water / steam wand and “RINSING” is displayed.
When the tank is empty, empty the container in order to collect the rinse water.
“FILTER SETTING” appears on the screen.
Press “NEXT”.
“RINSE AND WATER FILLING UP max LEVEL” appears in the display.
Remove the water tank and if applicable, return the water filter.
Fill the water tank to the max level with fresh water and place it back into the machines.
“WATER FILLING FRESH WATER” is displayed.
Remove the water tank fill it up to the max level with fresh water and place it back into the machines.
The descaling process is complete.
If the descaling procedure is not completed correctly (Eg power failure), we advise you to repeat the procedure.
It is normal that the grounds container containing water after descaling.
